KING OF THE WORM 2013 IS UPON US. EACH YEAR FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS EASTERN BOARDER WORCESTER HAS PUT ON A SCAVENGER HUNT/KING OF THE ROAD STYLE CONTEST IN THE STREETS OF WORCESTER. THIS YEAR WE ARE OPENING THIS CONTEST TO EVERYONE. WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS ON FILMING THE CONTEST ENTIRELY IN WORCESTER, EVERYONE IS ABLE TO PARTICIPATE. THE CONTEST WILL RUN FOR 3 WEEKS, AUGUST 3RD-24TH.

Team News: Shane Fortier Wins Main Event

Congratulations EB team rider Shane Fortier for winning 1st place at the final stop of the Main Event series and becoming the overall winner in the series. Shane won an invite to the Burton US Open, $500 cash, and a fully paid camp session to South America Snow Session in Argentina with roundtrip airfare for his overall points winnings

Rail Jam at Danvers

Thanks to the guys that came by for our rail jam especially the guys from Crotched Mountain who drove all the way down to bring us a box to session. We actually ended up with a decent set-up for what little we had to work with. The night ended with Parker and Robert Ollieing off the top of the drop in and over a sign we had set up. Here's the only picture I took that wasn't blurry. We might have some more pictures and video up soon.

Paul King Memorial Skate A Thon

Andover Skatepark is having their annual Paul King Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 9am-9pm. This years event is more important than ever because they plan on starting to build the new concrete section of the park this fall! They will be using the money raised to take down the two old halfpipes in the corner of the park to build a bowl and the beginning of a new concrete street section!

We have scheduled this year's annual Paul King Memorial Skate-A-Thon for Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (flyer attached).

We are moving along with plans to build the new concrete section in Paul's memory this fall. The estimate for the project is $86,000, and we have a little more than $60,000 in the bank right now (money we raised last year). So our goal is to raise $26,000. I realize that's a lofty goal and times are tough, but I never thought we'd raise $60,000 last year. So we're going to work hard to put on another great event this year and make Paul proud.

The skate-a-thon will include skateboard contests, food, a concert, and possibly a mini skate camp for beginners. Stay tuned for a full schedule.

C1RCA Eastcoast Tour: Demo & Signing

The ‘Crab Crakes and Cheese Steaks Tour’ will be hitting the eastern seaboard. Ryan Gallant, Sierra Fellers, Tony Tave, Scott Decenzo and Walker Ryan will be hitting spots beginning in Baltimore and heading through Delaware, New Jersey, Massachussets and New Hampshire. Check below for tour dates.

Lynn Jam This Saturday

Team News : Duggie Death

If you've been looking at the blog header the last few days and thinking, "who is that?". Well the answer is Doug Moore or Dug More. People also call him Duggie death or sgt. skate, both fitting nicknames. Dug lives in the Boston area and has been a huge part of the Boston skate scene. Being an all terrain ripper Dug earns respect from everyone that knows him. From old school vert dudes like Former Alva pros Fred Smith and Jim Murphy to street rats like Robbie Gangemi and PJ Ladd. Dug's biggest contribution had to be co-owning and running Boston's only public indoor skatepark ZT Maximus for years. Giving everyone shelter Over Boston's long cold winters.

Dropping in in China? Someone told me this was China but it doesn't look like it to me. Looks Mediterranean. I'm also just guessing that Xeno didn't take this one.
