New 2010 K2 And Ride Are Here

The 2010 K2 Snowboards are here and might be the best lineup of 2010, lots of new technology, and time stood solid snowboard construction that you expect from K2. My personal favorite is the World Wide Weapon, (VaVaVoom for the ladies), it is an inexpensive way to get a great rockered park board. I've seen the Research and Development in person and K2 puts these boards through the ringer. They test and retest every model until they are perfect. And it shows. In 2010 everything is better, cores have more pop, stronger bases that glide faster, and graphics are better too.

2010 Ride Machette is one of the most talked about new snowboards out there, LowRize Rocker has a flat profile through the center of the board and then begins the rocker at the extended Blend Zone to lift the contact points just out of the snow.. The machette slays the park, and rips turns on any conditions you can silp down. Also Featured is the Ride Kink one of the best selling park boards over the past ten years, It is a cambered deck that you can take anywhere. This year has a "MoodChanging" topsheet graphic that gets darker in the cold.

Check them all out here at the 2010 snowboard page.We had the chance to take all the new boards for a spin last winter, check out the video reviews for the scoop.

if you like snowboards watch this.... if you don't don't watch this

I'm sorry I know i'm breaking the rules, and this being Go Skateboarding Weekend! I'm blowing it by posting this video of dudes with boards attached to their feet. But there are some neat-o things in this clip. and some things not so neat-o. These dudes can wall slip anything, and I like the tree ride transfers. Note From Mulch: Please stop spinning off kinked rails. If joey can master a trick at Nashoba in one night..... it aint a trick. This goes for tail blocks too. (notes from mulch are the expressed views of mulch and not of Eastern Boarder or the Employees of Eastern Boarder, we take no responsibility for his bitter old ramblings)

Rome 2009-2010 Boards

In mid December Hunter Mountain in New York did a demo day for shop employees. Ride, DC, and Rome were in attendence. Ride and DC had this years boards and bindings, but Rome had all of next years boards and bindings! I got a chance to ride the 1985 Artifact and Postermania which are the reverse camber versions of the Artifact and Graft. With the plethora of different reverse camber options out there Rome went with the popular flat base or 0 camber with a little reverse on the tip and tail. This gives the boards a lot less "bannanaesque" feel and in my opinion doesn't really feel that different from any other regular cambered boards, but I will say buttering and presses are much much easier. So if you like the artifact or the graft you might want to check these guys out, if nothing else it will make you float way more in powder and give you those foot high presses you've always dreamed of! Below are some pictures of the aforementioned boards as well as a few others.
