The weather forecast for Sunday's ES Game of SKATE at Beverly Skatepark was not looking to good, after a few minutes of light rain during the sign-ups the clouds broke and it stayed dry the rest of the day. A good crowd came out and 101 people entered for there shot a chance to win a trip to California for the finals. After the first couple rounds it could have been just about anyones game. Here are the names of just a few of that looked like they had a shot but didn't make it to the finals : Gavin McMahon-Nolan, Greg Cotto, John Desimas, Dan Williams, Hector Gill, Pat Hickey, and Lance Butler and others.
The four finalist end up being Chris Valone, Mat Jay, Chandy Khon and Eric Martinac. Chris Valone ended up in fourth and Matt Jay took third leaving the two younger skaters, Eric and Chandy. In the end, it was Little Eric who eliminated Chandy with a switch inward heelflip

After the contest we packed up and the guys from ES wanted to get some seafood. Since most if not all of them had never been to New England we headed up the coast to Essex to get some fried clams at Woodman's . Matt Jagman and some of the guys that drove al the way from Theory also came up to get some food before the drive home.
We were practically knee deep in deep fried.
Jay from ES blogging the sun setting over the marsh. A good end to a good day.
Thanks to all 101 people who entered and everyone who came to watch. Special thanks to Jay, Matt, and all the guys at ES, Transworld and Skullcandy for picking Eaastern Boarder to host the Game of Skate and thank to everyone at the Beverly YMCA for letting us use the basketball courts.
